A Living Sculpture in Handmade Pottery
Golden spines, architectural growth, and richly glazed handmade ceramics come together in this one-of-a-kind botanical arrangement.
This established Ladyfinger Cactus (Mammillaria elongata) features a beautiful cluster of upright and gently curving cylindrical stems, each densely covered in fine, golden-yellow spines. Its organic form creates a striking contrast against the deep blue-green glaze of its handmade Hillside Mudworks planter.
The result is a distinctive pairing of natural texture and artisan craftsmanship, equally beautiful on a sunny windowsill, shelf, or carefully curated tabletop.

About the Cactus
Mammillaria elongata, also known as Ladyfinger Cactus or Gold Lace Cactus, is native to central Mexico.
Unlike traditional rounded cacti, this species grows in elongated, fingerlike stems that gradually develop into dense, branching clusters.
Its closely arranged golden spines create a beautiful woven texture. Established plants may also produce delicate cream, pale yellow, or pink-tinged flowers during their flowering season.
Plant Care
Light: Bright light with several hours of direct sunlight. Acclimate gradually to intense sun.
Water: Allow the soil to dry completely between waterings. Reduce watering significantly during winter.
Soil: A gritty, fast-draining cactus mix.
Temperature: Keep protected from freezing conditions and prolonged cold moisture.
Growth habit: Clumping, upright to spreading.
Care level: Relatively easy with sufficient light and careful watering.
